• Our project in the Peruvian Amazon is running since March 2023. Through the collaboration between Mimas and Santa Clotilde Hospital, we implemented a complete teleultrasound system in Angoteros clinic (one of the satellites of Santa Clotilde Hospital) to connect them with this hospital and the regional hospital in the capital, Hospital de Loreto in order to improve its capabilities in imaging diagnostic.
  • Angoteros is a small town in the rural Peruvian Amazon with a population of around 1200 people. Its clinic is categorized as the first health center level in the Peruvian system, which means they had the basic staff 1 doctor, 1 dentist, 3 technical nurses, and 2 laboratory technicians, and services. It is located 7 hours by river from the nearest hospital.
